Domestic and Non-domestic transactions

A transaction is deemed to be domestic when it is initiated:

  • in Euros using a card in which the base currency is Euros; or
  • in GBP using a card in which the base currency is GBP;

A transaction is deemed to be non-domestic when it is initiated:

  • in another currency than Euros using a card in which the base currency is Euros, or
  • in another currency than GBP using a card in which the base currency is GBP.

Am I eligible for a My EU Pay card?

Currently, to be eligible for a card you will need to be a VIP client and a resident of one of the below countries. This list will be updated as additional countries are added.

How can I order a card?

Send an email to support@myeupay.com to let us know you are interested in a card, and we will get back to you with further information.

How long will it take for my card to arrive?

Cards will be created once a week on Wednesdays and sent out the following day however, there may be delays so we estimate that following card creation, delivery will take:

  • UK: ~ 3 days
  • EU: ~ 6 days

How do I activate my card?

Your card can be activated online by following the below steps:

  1. Log in to your My EU Pay profile
  2. Navigate to Accounts → Cards
  3. Enter the last 4 digits of your card and click “Activate card”
  4. You will then receive your PIN code via SMS

Please make your first transaction at an ATM or at a store as you will need to enter your PIN on the first transaction. After this, your card can be used as normal- contactless included.

Please note that you cannot use your card onboard an aircraft in flight.

How can I load money onto my card?

You will receive a separate Card virtual account to which you can transfer funds from your regular My EU Pay virtual account, by logging into your profile at myeupay.net

Are they any restrictions / limits for my card?

Fees and limits are outlined in the T&Cs, however please note the key limits below:

I’ve changed my mind; how can I cancel my card?

Simply send us an email at support@myeupay.comand we will proceed to cancel your card.

Please note that you have 14 days to withdraw from your order:

If your card has already been sent but you decide to cancel within 14 days, we will refund the cost. If you cancel your card after 14 days, you will not be entitled to a refund.

How can I see my balance?

The balance on your card will match the balance in your Card virtual account. You can check this by logging into your profile at myeupay.net

My card has been lost / stolen.

You can at any time block your card by logging into your profile at myeupay.net.Alternatively, you can call our 24/7 customer support hotline and they will help you block your card: +44 (0)300 030 7777.

Can I transfer fund to my card at any time?

Yes, however please note the load limits:

  • Daily £/€ 5.000
  • Monthly £/€ 15.000
  • Yearly £/€ 100.000

I want to redeem funds from my card, how do I do this?

All you need to do is log in to your profile at myeupay.net and transfer the funds from your Card virtual account to your regular My EU Pay virtual account.
